The Next Generation(s)

 

Patricia has been involved with youth over the years, (a) as a state licensed foster home in the State of Washington, (b) to representing the defense of juveniles as a conflicts attorney in Swinomish Tribal Court, (c) to the legal guardianship of a nephew, (d) to serving as a volunteer board of director of Longhouse Media for three years, (e) to working as a consultant with her Alaska Native tribe, Kotzebue IRA look into establishing a juvenile justice system in Alaska.

 

 

Seventh Generation

 

By the oral history account given to me by my late Inupiaq grandmother, Unaliiaqtaq (Jessie Magadeline Hensley Lee), her family knowledge carries me back seven generations to a family ancestor who was very generous, kind and helpful:  Qu-wa-nah.  Qu-wa-nah was from Point Hope, Alaska.
